Assessment Center

Somerset Community College provides state of the art testing facilities conveniently located on the Somerset Campus. The Assessment Center provides three testing rooms for large group paper/pencil, large group computer-based testing and a private area which adheres to ADA and high-stakes testing guidelines.

The Assessment Center aspires to meet all testing needs for the college and community by providing testing sessions that:

Are monitored by video surveillance cameras and proctor stations with viewing windows
Are environmentally quiet, comfortable, and well lit
Have restroom facilities located within Assessment Center
Offer a secure storage area for personal belongings,
Provide a comfortable waiting area for guests
Conveniently located next to the Cafeteria and vending area

Locations

Note: If the college is closed for inclement weather or other unexpected institutional closings, the Assessment Center will also be closed.

Harold D. Strunk Learning Resources Building (Library)

Turn East from HWY 27 at Stop Light #16. Continue straight through the four way stop, this is the Monticello Street and UK Drive intersection. Continue straight until you come to the Meece Strunk lot, this will be the last parking lot on the left. The Assessment Center is located in the Harold D. Strunk Learning Resources Building (Library). This is the first building on the right side of the campus from the parking lot.

Building 2, Room 240

Traveling I-75, take Exit 38, turn on HWY 192 East, travel approximately 2 miles, turn left at light #9A, arrive at Somerset Community College, Laurel North Campus. Assessment Center is located in second building on left (Building 2, Room 240).

From Somerset, travel East 80 to London, crossing I-75 overpass. Highway East 80 turns into Hal Rogers Parkway. Travel approximately (3) miles, turn right onto HWY 192 West. Turn right at Light #9A, arrive at Somerset Community College, Laurel North Campus. Assessment Center is located in second building on left (Building 2, Room 240).
