Checklist item: Attend Orientation!
The Somerset Community College Orientation Program gives information to the beginning college student about the transition to post-secondary education. Orientation can help students set and achieve educational goals. It is strongly recommended that new students complete orientation before registering for classes.
Orientation is conducted throughout the year at several locations and is also available online. Once a student has applied for admission, and submitted ACT scores or placement exam scores, the student can call 606-677-8334 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an orientation when it is most convenient. To schedule an orientation, please include the following information when contacting us:
First and last name
Student ID number
Date of Orientation you wish to attend
Time of orientation you wish to attend
Locations of orientation you wish to attend

Cooper Building - Room 109
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

All orientations at the Laurel Campus will be held in:
Health Sciences Building (Building #3) - Room 218
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
You should have already completed an online application for admissions prior to attending orientation.
To complete the New Student Orientation online, please click the link below. You will be asked to provide your first & last name along with a personal email address. Please make sure this is the same email address you supplied when submitting the online application. The video contains several quiz questions that you will need to answer in order to move on to the next section of the video. If you choose “Continue without Quiz” you will not get credit for completing the orientation.
