Procedure
Division Chairs and/or Department Heads are responsible for purchasing retirement gifts for their employees and completing the BA8 form. All retirement gift purchases require pre-approval of college president. Pre-approval must be in writing and attached to the electronic BA8.
Divisions/departments are encouraged to select gifts that are long-lasting and can be engraved. The retirement gift is intended to be a keepsake for the employee.
Suggested gifts include but are not limited to:
- Watches
- Clocks
- Crystal or other Glassware Items
- Figurines
The following guidelines for purchase of retirement gifts are based on the individual’s length of service:
Years of Service | Cost of Gift |
---|---|
5–9 | $100 |
10–14 | $200 |
15–19 | $300 |
20–24 | $350 |
25+ | $400 |
