Policy
SCC recognizes both the opportunities and challenges that Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents for higher education. Appropriate and responsible use of AI is expected of all faculty, staff, and students. AI should be used to enhance, rather than replace, human reasoning, creativity, and professional judgment. All use of AI must comply with applicable laws and SCC/KCTCS policies regarding academic integrity, data privacy, intellectual property, and ethical conduct. Misuse of AI, including misrepresentation of authorship or disclosure of confidential information, is prohibited and subject to existing disciplinary procedures.
