
KCTCS-TRAINS
KCTCS-TRAINS can help your company offset the cost of customized training.
KCTCS-TRAINS is a fund designated by the Kentucky General Assembly to help companies willing to invest in workforce development for their employees. These funds are administered by KCTCS and are available through KCTCS colleges.
Eligibility Requirements
For-profit companies in the Commonwealth of Kentucky are eligible for KCTCS-TRAINS funding, provided that the projects meet the requirements below:
- Companies must have a physical KY location
- Trainees must be KY residents or work in the state of KY
- Companies must be a for-profit company
- Each class must have a minimum of 5 students (excludes CDL)
- Mandatory certifications may not be standalone TRAINS projects, but can be added onto other training projects.
Please note: Government agencies, non-profit organizations and educational institutions are not eligible.
Financial Breakdown of KCTCS-TRAINS Projects
Companies are required to pay 25% of the training cost (plus an additional 10% administration fee) and KCTCS-TRAINS will cover the remaining 75%.
