Project B.E.A.M. (Bringing Education and Achievement to Migrants)
Project BEAM is funded through a grant to Somerset Community College by the Office of Migrant Education, U.S. Department of Education. Instruction and other assistance is provided to aid adults in completing their GED (Certificate of High School Equivalency) and entering college.
Qualified students can receive payment for instructional time and assistance with GED testing fees. Project BEAM also provides free books and study materials along with one-on-one tutoring for students.
Who is Eligible?
- Do you need to earn a GED?
- Have you worked on a farm within the last two years?
- Has your spouse or have your parents worked on a farm within the last two years?
