Somerset Community College Theatre announces open auditions for its 2011-2012 theatre season. The auditions will take place in SCCs Stoner Little Theatre on the Somerset Campus, Monday, August 22, and Tuesday, August 23. Sign-ins will begin at 7:00 p.m. and auditions begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
Auditions are open to anyone, student or nonstudent and there will be many roles needed in a variety of ages.
A complete information packet can be obtained in the Fine Arts Foyer (Room 108) in Stoner Hall on the Somerset Campus.
SCC directors will be looking to fill roles in many events:
September 2011: Readers TheatreShort theatre pieces performed in the style of Readers Theatre.
Cast needed: 3 men and 3 women. Performance on September 30.
November 2011: The Go-BetweensUproarious comedy based on the plays of Moliere.
Large castdivided evenly between men and women. Rehearsals begin in October.
Play will be performed on November 17, 18 and 19.
Spring 2012: Storybook TheatreShort plays to be performed for elementary school audiences backstage at the Center Theatre. Performed throughout the spring semester.
April 2012: Sketches! - An evening of short comic sketches. Cast needed: Various.
Performed on April 13 and 14.
Summer 2012: Summer Film ProjectT.B.A.
