She would like to extend special thanks to her husband, Johnathan, her children, Johnathan and Thomas, and Debra for her continued support, especially with childcare, throughout her educational journey.

According to Practical Nursing faculty, Sturgill consistently demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. She is recognized for her quiet leadership among her peers and is known for offering support and encouragement to others. Faculty members note that she comes well-prepared to class, lab, and clinical settings, and approaches each experience with a willingness to learn and improve. She is receptive to feedback and applies it thoughtfully, exemplifying the work ethic and compassion essential to the nursing profession.

The SCC Practical Nursing Program prepares students for successful healthcare careers by equipping graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism needed to provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings.
