Somerset Community College (SCC) is making waves in the world of robotics! SCC’s first-ever
Robot Gladiator League team has advanced to the third of five melees in the Titan
League, climbing to an impressive #3 ranking after defeating Bluegrass Community and
Technical College in a thrilling match.
The next battle is set for Saturday, December 13, at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Fayette County, running from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. SCC invites the entire community to come out and cheer for their local college as they showcase innovation, teamwork, and cutting-edge skills.
The Robot Gladiator League isn’t just about competition; it’s about bringing together multiple areas of study and applying classroom knowledge to real-world problem-solving. Students from diverse programs collaborate to design, build, and program robots capable of strategic combat, demonstrating creativity, engineering, and critical thinking.
