Christina Carr named extraordinary Educator of 2024 during National Respiratory Care Week

This prestigious award reflects her exemplary dedication to educating future respiratory therapists.

The Kentucky Society for Respiratory Care celebrates outstanding contributions to the field each year during the KSRC Making the Connection Conference. Christina’s nomination and selection for this award underscore her commitment to fostering knowledge and skills in the next generation of healthcare professionals.

As a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care, the KSRC serves to advance the practice of respiratory therapy in Kentucky. Carr is the first faculty member from SCC to receive this distinguished honor, highlighting the impact she has made in the respiratory therapy community.

She has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring respiratory therapy students,” said Angela Mills, SCC Respiratory care professor. “Her innovative teaching strategies, hands-on skills training, and ability to inspire students have significantly impacted the development of future respiratory therapists.”
