On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, eight individuals were recognized and inducted into the Somerset Community College Hall of Honor at The Center for Rural Development.

Thanks to community sponsors and a silent and live auction, over $50,000 was raised for the SCC Foundation. These funds provide student and program needs which may not be covered by tuition or financial aid.

The 2024 Hall of Honor inductees are Dr. Rodney Casada, Phillip Duncan, Mark Haney, Marlon Hargis, Lawrence Kuhl, Katie Gregory Slone, Joanne Story (in memoriam), and RC Story.

Cindy Clouse, vice president of advancement and executive director of the SCC Foundation commented, “We are proud to call each Hall of Honor recipient a friend of SCC. They have each served a significant role in our success whether as alumni, donors or community leaders. It was an honor to recognize them for their accomplishments.”
