    SCC Radiography Student Organization donates hats and turbans to local cancer treatment center

    The Radiography Student Organization (RSO) at Somerset Community College (SCC) donated 100 hats and turbans to the LCRH Cancer Treatment Center on April 23, 2024.

    Last October, RSO organized a bake sale on campus to raise awareness for breast cancer.

    They distributed pink ribbons and stickers to promote the cause. The money collected from the bake sale was used to purchase the items that were donated to the Cancer Treatment Center.

    The hats and turbans were presented to Kenny Hill, a Radiation Therapist at the LCRH Cancer Treatment Center. Shanda Catron serves as the faculty sponsor of RSO.
