SCC announces Jami Evans as Director of Enrollment Management

Jami EvansSomerset Community College (SCC) proudly announces the appointment of Jami Evans as the Director of Enrollment Management. A seasoned professional with an extensive background at SCC, Evans brings a wealth of experience and a holistic perspective to her new role.

Having worn multiple hats within student services, Evans has been a pivotal figure at SCC, from serving as a KYVS online advisor to supervising admissions, call center operations and her most recent position, SCC’s registrar. Her journey at SCC started as a student, culminating in the achievement of an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

With an unwavering commitment to efficiency and employee satisfaction, Evans has consistently sought ways to enhance processes within the college. Her passion for higher education is deeply rooted, and she has successfully earned Bachelor's degrees from Midway University and Eastern Kentucky University, as well as a Master's degree in organizational leadership from Western Kentucky University.

Reflecting on her new position, Evans expressed, "I believe my broad understanding of various facets of our college positions me to facilitate efficient change for the benefit of our students and community. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues to make Somerset Community College the premier choice for regional higher education and workforce training."

Beyond her professional achievements, Evans is deeply committed to family life in Laurel County with her husband Rick and three children. Her dedication to SCC's mission of shaping communities and providing transformative opportunities for students is evident in her statement, "It has been an enriching career to be in a place where I can see how SCC helps to shape our communities and offer our students opportunities to grow and change."

Evans envisions her role as Enrollment Management Director as an opportunity to contribute to a broader educational impact.
