SCC Respiratory Therapy Academic Team Captures State Title
Somerset, Ky. – The Respiratory Therapy Academic Team from Somerset Community College (SCC) Laurel Campus recently captured their fifth state championship at the Kentucky Society for Respiratory Care (KSRC) annual meeting.
“The once powerhouse teams from Lexington and Northern Kentucky now look at SCC as the team to beat,” said Angie Mills, associate professor and laboratory director of the program.
The SCC team went undefeated and was recognized for their extensive respiratory information. They compete for the national championship in Indianapolis, Indiana in October.
The SCC Respiratory Therapy Academic Team members are all second year students in the Respiratory Therapist program at SCC Laurel Campus. They include, from left: Rusty Morris, London; Megan Clontz, London; and Kasandra Crabtree, London.
