BIO:

Dr. Phillips is a native of Somerset and teaches economics and statistics.  Dr. Phillips was President of the Kentucky Economic Association in 2009 and has appeared numerous times on KET’s Kentucky Tonight program to discuss the economy. 

Interests – Research: Dr. Phillips’ research interests include post-Keynesian macroeconomics, history of economic thought, business statistics, and public finance.  Dr. Phillips has presented academic articles at local, state and regional conferences and has published over thirty editorials in the Commonwealth Journal newspaper.  He is currently completing his MA in mathematics and statistics at Eastern Kentucky University.
