Two SCC Faculty Elected to State Education Positions

Toby and Sears

Two Somerset Community College faculty members were recently elected to the Kentucky Association for Development Education (KADE) Executive Board. April Sears, SCC Transitional Education math instructor, was elected as the Secretary of KADE and Kim Toby, Transitional Education Student Success instructor, was elected as a two-year institution member at large.

The mission of KADE is to increase the success of students who come to postsecondary education underprepared in basic skills areas, such as English writing, reading or mathematics, by providing developmental educators with a forum in which to share research, best practices and theories pertaining to developmental education.
