Student Ambassadors announced for 2010
Somerset Community College announces the Student Ambassadors for 2010-2011. The new Student Ambassadors are Stacy Auterson of Russell Springs, Tammy Bowlin of Burkesville, Andy Bratcher of Waynesburg, Larry Brinson of Somerset, Sheila Cochrane of London, Tonya Davidson of Manchester, Chris Garland of Burkesville, Kristen Grant of Stanford, Seth Grider of Science Hill, Stacy Hancock of Monticello, Courtney Hodgins of Eubank, Heather Keith of Eubank, Melissa Keith of Columbia, Julie Knisley of Somerset, Gaspar Miguel of Somerset, Lillie Morris of Monticello, Angelica Pittman of Yosemite, Shelbie Russell of Somerset, Ann Saich of Somerset, Chris Shelton of Albany, and Natalie Winstead of Somerset.
The Student Ambassadors serve in a public relations capacity by representing Somerset Community College in a positive and professional manner at various campus and community events. They also conduct tours for individuals and groups, and help educate current and prospective students about programs, resources and student life at SCC.
In order to become an SCC Student Ambassador, the student must maintain a 3.0 grade point average and be enrolled full-time or part-time. The student must possess a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, enjoy assisting others and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, have the ability to speak in front of a group of people and have the flexibility to work some nights and weekends.
