Donna Eastham, associate professor of Early Childhood Education at Somerset Community College (SCC), joined with 12 other women to compete in the 2014 Bourbon Chase. The Bourbon Chase is a 200-mile relay race that starts at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky.

Easthams captioned the team, called Sole Sisters. They finished the race in 34 hours.

The kinship you feel with this team is hard to explain, said Eastham. It was wonderful. We support each other in every role. This was the second year for the team, we had several new faces but all gave 110% to get us from Jim Beam Distillery to Triangle Park in Lexington, KY.
