SCC sends care packages to overseas troops

Employees of Somerset Community College collected donations from SCC students and employees as part of their Veterans Day efforts. The drive resulted in 16 care packages which will be sent to local soldiers serving overseas. Shown here from left to right are project coordinators: SCC Financial Affairs Counselor Janice Hardwick, SCC Coordinator of Veterans Affairs Veronica DeBord, SCC Coordinator of Financial Aid Pat McCoy, and SCC Director of Financial Aid Shawn Anderson. Not pictured, but helping the coordinate the project was Financial Aid Counselor Deana Caron. The boxes were delivered to the local Yellow Ribbon Project and they will be forwarding these boxes to local soldiers. The Yellow Ribbon Project is a project of the Lake Cumberland Blue Star Mothers, a Chartered Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc.
