Classes are completely free and will focus on two areas reading and general college preparedness. There is a limit to the number of students and applications must be submitted prior to May 29th.

The session, called Jump Start, is part of the Emerging Scholars Program. The goal of the program is to focus on improving reading scores while also completing general strategies for academic success class, which will give participants one college credit hour for their transcript.

Students in the class will have the opportunity to gain confidence in college-level reading, discover campus resources, make new friends, get to know staff and faculty, participate in one-on-one mentoring and tutoring and preregister for fall classes.
