SCC Medical Assisting Program Holds Pinning Ceremony
Students in theMedical Assisting program at Somerset Community College recently celebrated the conclusion of their program
with a pinning ceremony. The event was held on December 17, 2013 in the Health Sciences
Building at SCC Laurel North Campus and more than 100 people attended the event.
The Medical Assisting students completed three semesters of training, which included laboratory skills, clinical procedures skills, medical administrative skills and insurance billing and coding. All students were required to take the American Medical Technologist Registered Medical Assisting National Certification Exam prior to graduation and all students passed successfully, yielding a 100% pass rate for the program.
