SCC Laurel Campus Cosmetology Program Hosted "Operation Kid's Christmas"

For the 15th year, the SCC Laurel Campus Cosmetology Program hosted Operation Kids Christmas. Children ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade from Hazel Green Elementary School were sponsored by the program and were treated to a special afternoon of music, a puppet show, a reading from Roger Angevine, SCC Laurel Campus Director and Dean of Applied Technology, tons of gifts and a pizza lunch.

Cosmetology students hosted a variety of fundraising events that garnered more than $4,000 in support of the program. Coats, hats and gloves were provided by the faculty and staff at SCC, South Laurel Campus, and the Shoe Inn of London donated each child a pair of new shoes. Numerous community businesses partnered with the program to make this Christmas special.
