SCC History Professor Speaks at DAR Meeting

The Somerset Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held its first meeting of the year on Saturday, September 14 at the Pulaski Library. Dana Muse, professor of history at Somerset Community College, was the guest speaker. September is celebrated as Constitution Month, and this year the DAR recognized the 226th anniversary of its signing on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia. Muse spoke of the history leading up to its signing , its final ratification by the states in 1789, the importance of the Bill of Rights, and its history and importance to our country up to the present day.

The Somerset Chapter of the DAR meets every second Saturday of the month 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. at the library from September to June.
