Habitat for Humanity Recognizes Programs at SCC

Blair Apgar, construction coordinator for the Laurel County Habitat for Humanity, recently presented checks to two program coordinators at Somerset Community College to thank them for their assistance in local Habitat for Humanity builds.

Eddie Brown, Air Conditioning Technology - HVAC program coordinator, and Travis McQueen, SCC Construction Technology program coordinator, both worked with their students to assist in the most recent Habitat for Humanity project in East Bernstadt, as well as other projects.

Apgar, who has been with Habitat for Humanity for nearly 10 years and has held an extensive career in in construction, said he has been extremely pleased with the job students from the HVAC and Construction Technology programs have done.

We wanted to bless them with a gift to help their programs because they've done a lot of quality work for us, said Apgar. This donation was a way for us to say thank you.
