Online and in-person classes are offered through SCC in many different academic areas this summer. These classes can help students earn college credit whether enrolled at SCC or currently attending another college or university. The first round of summer classes at SCC begin May 15, with other sessions starting later. There is still time to enroll.

The current summer school schedule at SCC includes 174 classes, including 88 offered online, as well as many general education classes. Classes typically transfer easily to other higher education institutions in Kentucky and are delivered at the lowest tuition cost in the state.

Current SCC students should make an appointment with an SCC advisor before registering for classes, which can be done by calling or emailing the CARE center at (606) 677-8310 or SCC_CARE@kctcs.edu. Visiting students must provide a letter of good standing from their current college or university. A transcript may be needed as well. Visiting students may also email SCC_CARE@kctcs.edu for assistance.

SCC admissions, financial aid, advising, scheduling other areas are currently open and ready to help students through the admissions and enrollment process. The college is currently open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We want make enrolling as easy as possible,” said SCC Dean of Student Affairs Tracy Casada. “We believe if we can simplify the enrollment process for current and visiting students, more students are likely to take advantage of the affordable opportunities SCC has to offer.”

Students can also proceed with registering for the 2017 fall semester, which begins August 14. Registering early can help students get their first choice in classes.

To submit an application to SCC, visit campus at 808 Monticello Street in Somerset, or 100 University Drive in London, or submit an application online.
