Maysville Community and Technical College has a wide variety of workplace assessments that business and industry can use for pre-hire screening or employee evaluation and individuals can access for certifications and licensure.
Kentucky Manufacturing Skills Standard (KMSS)
Evaluates the skills related to manufacturing, i.e. quality, blueprint, math, etc. Time: Approximately 2 hours.
Developing by ACT, WorkKeys measures eight different skills:
• Reading for Information (written or online) Listening (audio)
• Applied Math (written or online) Writing (audio)
• Locating Information (written or online) Teamwork (video)
• Applied Technology (written) Observation (video)
Time: Approximately 1 hour per test.
National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI)
NOCTI measures industrial related skills. There are a variety of tests to choose from, depending upon specific skills required on the job. Results are reported by skill category and include individual, group and national norm scores.
Time: Approximately 3 hours.
MCTC is an authorized center for Pearson-Vue assessments. Consult their website for the large variety of certification exams available and the current prices.
Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE)
TABE realistically measures foundation skills in reading, mathematics, and language. The TABE provides comprehensive assessments that give employers, educators and training professional data which will help in planning effective occupational educational programs.
The 16PF instrument has been widely used for a variety of applications, including assisting with personnel selection and career development through measurement of five primary management dimensions frequently identified to forecast management potential and style. Also helps to identify personality factors.
Time: 35 – 50 minutes
DISC Personal Profile System
DISC is used for personal assessment to improve lives, interpersonal relationships, work productivity, teamwork, and communication. The DISC Personal Profile System is personality behavioral testing profiling using a 4 dimensional model of normal behavior in an assessment, inventory, and survey format.
Kentucky Insurance Testing
MCTC is a testing site for the Kentucky Office of Insurance.
