I’m Jerry Greiner here at Maysville Community and Technical College and I am the VA certifying official, for the Maysville Campus. As the VA certifying official my main responsibility is to certify to VA that the classes you are taking are required for your degree program and also to verify your attendance and grades. So that is my main job with VA. I encourage anyone who thinks they might have VA benefits to come see me, the sooner the better. There is an application process with VA that all students have to do first, and then bring me the document that verifies your eligibility. Then that’s when I can go ahead and certify your classes. I encourage all veterans to get advised for their classes as early as possible, and then come see me so I can early certify you, so that your VA dollars will not be delayed any longer than necessary. Students attending the Maysville Campus and Licking Valley Campus will be dealing with me. You need to see me early, get registered early, so I can certify you early and not delay your funds. Students attending the Rowan Campus will be working with Jo McCarty and you should be in contact with her.
