This video will walk you through step by step on how to view your campus personal information. It is very important that you keep your campus personal information up-to-date. Failure to do so will make it difficult should anyone from the college need to contact you. From the Maysville Community and Technical College home webpage select Student Self-service from the menu located in the upper righ-hand corner. This is done by placing your cursor over the Student Self-service heading and selecting it using your mouse as highlighted here. You will then be taken to the KCTCS Campus Solutions login menu. You now need to enter your username and password. Your username was given to you by Maysville Community and Technical College when you registered. Move your cursor to the username box and click on it using your mouse. Enter your user name, for example, jstudent0001 then press the tab key to the next field, the password field. Enter your password. This is the same password you used in setting up your KCTCS email account. Then press enter using your keyboard or move your cursor to the sign-in box and click on it using your mouse.
You are now taken to your Student Center. We know this is John’s Student Center because it says his name at the top of the webpage. Click on Self Service menu located on the left-hand side of your screen as highlighted here. Notice a menu now expands below the Self-Service heading. Click on Campus Personal Information located below the Self-Service heading menu. You are now on the Campus Personal Information screen. From here you can change or add your address, your name, your phone number, your email, list your emergency contacts, review licenses and certificates or find out if there are any holds on your college account.
Let’s start by looking at all the things you can do from your personal information website. The first thing you can do is change your address. This would be completed if you have to change your address. We suggest you view the video on how to change your address before attempting to change your address. To move on to the next item we want to review on campus personal information, we are selecting the next heading by placing our cursor over change your name subheading from the Campus Personal Information menu located on the left-hand side of your screen and selecting it using your mouse. This allows you to update your name for any reason should you have a name change.
Let’s continue on our tour. Let’s look at how to add a phone number. You can also update or add a phone number in your personal information. We suggest you review the video on how to change your phone number before attempting to change or add a phone number. Next, you can add or update your email address. Select email address. We suggest you watch the video on how to add or change an email address before completing this process. Next, let’s look at how to set up your emergency contact list – this is very important. This will allow you to set up your emergency contact list. This is important in case the college needs to contact a member of your family for you.
Next, let’s take a look at the privacy settings. You can see that you can set your privacy settings by clicking on the green button located at the bottom of your screen that says edit. You can do this by moving your mouse to the button and selecting it using your mouse. These are the settings that allow the college to know who we can release information to should inquiries be made towards your academic status. As you can see, there are several privacy settings that you can set up using this webpage. Next, let’s look at licenses and certificates. This is where we list computer training certificates or various other certificates you receive here from us at Maysville Community and Technical College. If you have any questions regarding this section, please contact Patee Massie at (606) 759-7141, ext. 66186 for further information. The next area to look in is memberships. This is a section we are currently not using here at Maysville Community and Technical College. Next, let’s take a look at extracurricular activities. This is where we indicate such programs as Ready to Work. If you are a member of an extracurricular activity, or would like more information about this section, please contact Tabatha Butler at (606) 759-7141, ext. 66209. There are other tabs to look at in this section such as work history, to do lists, user preferences and ethnicity. We suggest you explore each of these websites to see if there is information you would like to update.
The final area we want to look at is academic holds. This is an area you can go to see if there are any academic holds placed on your account. To access holds, move your cursor to holds heading located in the menu on the left-hand side of your screen or select from the icons located in the center of your screen. The academic holds are located on this screen. To review the list of academic holds, we suggest you pause the playing of this video and review the various types of academic holds that can be placed on your account. Listed after the academic holds is a list of the person you should contact and their contact information. To resume playing of this video, press the play button located at the bottom of your screen. John, fortunately, does not currently have any holds placed on him. As you can see, Campus Personal Information has a lot of information that we suggest that you keep up-to-date while attending Maysville Community and Technical College.
