MCTC Rowan Campus to Host Kids College

Morehead, KY (May 30, 2012) Maysville Community and Technical College Workforce Solutions is calling all kids ages 5 to 13 to four days of fun-filled and action-packed learning.  The MCTC Rowan Campus Kids College 2012 will be held June 18 through 21 and is designed for kids who love hands on activities. 

Participants in the 5 to 8 age group will explore books and planets with fun activities such as star gazing with Sandy Fleshman, design unique crafts with Raven Ford, and stay active through soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more with Sarah Callihan. 

Participants in the 9 to 13 age group can choose their favorites from a variety of activities.  Classes will include, CSI-Forensic Science with Aaron Lodes, Sports Center with Chris Callihan, Karate with Hayden Howard, Healthy Snacks with Traci Stevens, Crafty Creations with Maria Glover, Computer Fun with Vera Gregory, and Really Cool Science Experiments with Alex Marin. 

Kids College will be held each day from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  All classes for both age groups will be held at MCTC’s Rowan Campus Downtown Extension located in the former Rowan County Middle School Building.

The cost to attend Kids College is $50 per student.  The registration deadline is June 13.  Early registration is encouraged due to limited seating availability.  Registration forms should be marked attention to Kids College and mailed to 609 Viking Drive in Morehead.
