Weather Closing Policy
During inclement weather, Maysville Community & Technical College (MCTC) makes delay and cancellation decisions as necessary. If classes are delayed or cancelled, the campus will be closed. Faculty determine how to make up missed classes.

A decision to delay or cancel day classes will be made by 6:00 a.m. or as needed later during the day. (NOTE to Health Sciences students—please follow program guidelines.)

If a decision is made to cancel day classes, evening classes are also cancelled. If day classes are in session, but weather becomes inclement, a decision to cancel evening classes, offered at 4:30 p.m. or after, will be made by 3:00 p.m.
There are four possible announcements regarding weather closings:

Delay: 2-hour delay – 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. classes cancelled, 9:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. classes begin at 10:00 a.m. Offices open at 10:00 a.m.

Cancellation: Classes are cancelled. The campus will not open for business.

Cancellation: Classes will be cancelled as of announced time. The campus will close.

Cancellation: Evening classes are cancelled. The campus will not be open after 4:30 p.m.
