Basic Motorcycle Training Course BRC1

Learn to maneuver and operate a motorcycle in a controlled, off-street environment.  TheBRC1 course offers approximately five hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding exercises in a controlled environment.  Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a waiver for the skills test to obtain your motorcycle license, and you may qualify for discounted insurance rates.  For more information on class dates and times, or to register, please email or call 606-780-0629.

Speeds are higher and riders should be riding their own motorcycle for this excellent BRC2 refresher course.  Practice and renew your basic riding skills with on-cycle maneuvers specifically designed to reinforce safe riding strategies in a controlled, off-street environment.  A classroom component discusses safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge.  Passengers are permitted with a licensed operator on a personal motorcycle.  The course meets a minimum of six hours on a Saturday (one day training).  Fee: $25.00

Zumba

Do you want to lose weight and tone your body while having a great time?  Well Zumba® is for you!  Come join Keri Miller and celebrate with the Latin Inspired Dance Fitness Party.  You will be having fun while burning the calories away.  We will Salsa, Merengue, Reggaton, Cumbia and hip-hop the weight away.  Never danced before?  No worries, Zumba® has easy to follow dance routines that will leave you feeling like a pro.  Let’s Zumba®!  A minimum of 5 students per class is required. Classes will meet on Mondays beginning September 8th through December 8th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on the Maysville Campus in Fields Auditorium. Beginning Spanish

In this course, you will learn essential vocabulary and phrases needed to begin communicating with Spanish speakers.  Your instructor, Billy Riley has worked with area farmers to help them converse with their Spanish speaking workers, has participated in missionary work at home and in Mexico and enjoys teaching others the Spanish language. Tell Me About My Town

Tell Me About My Town is a walking Tour of Downtown Cynthiana with Emily Ammerman. Downtown Cynthiana has a rich and interesting history from the previous owners/operators in the buildings to the architecture that is to be enjoyed. Dog Obedience

Calendar September 16, 2014 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Maysville Campus - Calvert Lounge

Need to control your dog? The goal of this course is to get your dog to come when called, to sit, to stay, to lie down and stay, and to heel properly. The dog must be at least six months old and vaccinations must be current. Please bring proof of vaccinations to the first class. Please do not bring your dog the first night of class. Instructor George Rodgerson has 30+ years of experience training working livestock dogs to herd sheep and cattle, and has competed in sheep and cattle dog trials at the highest level. Register early! This class fills fast! Classes will take place September 16th through October 21st from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. The course will meet on the Maysville Campus in the Calvert Lounge. The course fee is $50.

Cake Decorating with Susie Wilson

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician. This comprehensive 50 hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. The class will be held on Monday & Wednesday, October 13th – December 3, 2014 from 6-9:30pm. Deadline to register is October 1, 2014 and the fee is $999. Crafts in a Jar for Kids

Intro to Photography with Tom Patrick
