Art for Kids

Give your child the opportunity to draw, paint, and work with clay in this four-session art course specifically designed for children ages 6-8. Plenty of time is allowed in each session for children to develop their creative abilities. Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician. This comprehensive 50 hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. The class will be held on Monday & Wednesday, October 13th – December 3, 2014 from 6-9:30pm. Deadline to register is October 1, 2014 and the fee is $999. Mommy/Daddy and Me Culinary Series

Looking for something different to do with your kids? Consider signing up for a fun, hands-on cooking class. Cooking classes not only teach culinary technique, they're also a great way to try new foods, master hand-eye coordination and practice social skills like sharing and following directions. These classes are a great way to spend quality time with your child and introduce them to cooking and eating in an exciting and interactive way!  These classes are for ages 5-10; child must bring an adult.

Classes are October 16th, November 13th and December 11th from 6-8pm.  Cost is $30 per class.

KMA with Sally Parker, Prepares a Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide to administer specific medications in a long term care facility as delegated and supervised by a licensed nurse. Must have six months of work experience as a Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide in order to qualify for the class. The class will be held on Monday and Wednesday, October 20 – December 14 Time: 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Deadline to register is October 1, 2014 and the fee is $735 (5 credit hours) plus books. Motorcycle Safety

Learn to maneuver and operate a motorcycle in a controlled, off-street environment. This course offers approximately five hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding exercises in a controlled environment. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a waiver for the skills test to obtain your motorcycle license and you may qualify for discounted insurance rates.

Culinary Arts Open House

The Maysville Institute of Culinary Arts is opening their doors on Tuesday, October 28th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to anyone interested in learning more about the culinary program. This come-and-go open house will allow interested community members and potential students the opportunity to meet the culinary team, tour the facility and sample foods and pastries prepared by current students. The program is offered in the historic Cox Building in downtown Maysville and features a student-run college bakery and café. Dried Floral Wreath (Paris)

Crafts in a Jar for Kids

Culinary Journey through Paris

Grants 101: Professional Grant Proposal Writing Workshop

We all want a beautiful, pine scented centerpiece for our tables. Make this with mixed evergreens, a tasteful bow and a cream candle in the center for the holidays. Participants will make one centerpiece and one swag.

Intro to Photography with Tom Patrick

This class is for the student with an enthusiastic interest in digital or film photography. This course stresses under¬≠standing and improving basic skills with digital and film cameras, whether your camera is a Point and Shoot or an SLR. Sessions cover camera controls and their functions, digital capture, film types, exposure, composition, flash, and the ever changing world of the photographic process. So, if you are a beginner or an advanced photographer, this class will fit you. This 21-hour class will be structured to the needs of each student and their personal level of photographic skill.
