Welcome to How to Add a Phone Number. This video will walk you through all the steps necessary to add a phone number to your student information. From the Maysville Community and Technical College home webpage, you will want to select Student Self Service from the top right hand menu as highlighted here. This is done by placing your cursor over the student self-service heading and selecting it with your mouse. You will now be taken to the KCTCS Campus Solutions home webpage. You will notice in the center of your screen there are two boxes for you to type in. The first box asks you to enter your username. This was issued to you by Maysville Community and Technical College when you were admitted to the college. Our student’s name is John Student and he is typing in jstudent0001. Then press the tab key to move to the next field. John will then type in his password that he created when he activated his KCTCS email account. And then you want to either press enter on your keyboard or move your cursor to the sign in box and select it using your mouse. If you forgot your username or your password, move your cursor to where it says forgot your username or password and click on it using your mouse. You will then be taken to another site that will assist you in obtaining either your username or your password.
You are now taken to your Student Center. We know John is in his Student Center because his name appears at the top of the screen. If the name that appears is not yours, please contact Student Services. Their contact information can be found at the end of this video. From the menu located on the left-hand side of your screen, select self-service by moving your cursor over the self-service heading and selecting it by using your mouse. The menu below Student Services will now expand. Next select Campus Personal Information by moving your cursor over to the Campus Personal Information and select it using your mouse. The menu below Campus Personal Information will expand. Select phone number by moving your cursor to phone number and select it using your mouse. John’s phone number information is now displayed.
In order to add a phone number, the first step is to select the drop down menu below phone type. In this example, John would like to add a second contact number so he selects home phone. He already has his cell phone listed. Press the tab key to move to the next field. This field allows John to enter his home phone number. To move to the next field, press the tab key. If there’s an extension number, type the extension number and if it’s the preferred contact number you would like anyone from the college to contact you at, please check the preferred box. From this example, John would like his main contact number to be his cell phone and he’s indicated this by placing his cursor on the check box and selecting it using his mouse. You can also delete a phone number by selecting the delete box in the final column and selecting it using your mouse. To save the phone number, move your cursor to the save button and selecting it with your mouse. You now have added a new phone number to your personal information.
