Eligibility for veterans education benefits

You may be eligible for benefits if your military service places you in one of the following chapters:

Chapter 33 - Post 9/11 GI Bill. Provides benefits for Active Duty Veterans that served after 9/11/2001. Implemented Aug. 1, 2009
Chapter 31 - Vocational rehabilitation benefits for disabled veterans.
Chapter 30 - Montgomery GI Bill for Active Duty Veterans.
Chapter 35 - Education assistance benefits for dependents and survivors of certain veterans who have serious disabilities as the result of their service, or who have died of a service connected cause.
Chapter 1606 - Provides benefits to students participating in the National Guard and/or Reserves.
Chapter 1607 - Educational assistance for reserve component members supporting contingency operations and certain other operations. Also referred to as REAP.
