Office of Research and Policy Analysis (ORPA)

The Office of Research and Policy Analysis is under the leadership of the Chancellor's Office located in Versailles, Kentucky.


The mission of the Office of Research and Policy Analysis (ORPA) is to provide information and analysis for administrative and programmatic decision-making, strategic planning and accountability, and institutional effectiveness. ORPA supports the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS)’s vision to be the nation’s premier community and technical college system by:

  • Conducting research to identify emerging trends and assess institutional performance
  • Providing coordination and support for research activities at KCTCS colleges
  • Ensuring system-wide compliance with state and federal reporting requirements
  • Furthering development of the Decision Support System and other information tools
  • Responding to external and internal requests for information

Data Request Guidelines

These guidelines and procedures suggest the minimum information that must accompany a researcher’s request for KCTCS data, including permission to conduct surveys to obtain information from KCTCS faculty, staff, or students. If you would like to submit a request for KCTCS information, please review these guidelines before you submit your request.
