The Office of Workforce Solutions provides continuing education classes to meet the state licensing requirements in the following areas:
Master Electrician and Electrician These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for electricians or master electricians. This course will present selected topics related to NEC topics and calculations/sizing. "Safety Topics" will be included as a part of presentation.
2011 NEC Code Class - Jerry Adams - $60 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Local Time)
Electrical Contractor These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for electrical contractors. The courses deal with business issues critical to the success of contractors.
Jeff Fuson - $60 (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Local Time) - FRIDAYS
Master and Journeyman HVAC These Courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for Master & Journeyman HVAC. A series of lectures, discussions and presentations pertaining to HVAC safety and OSHA rules and regulations will be covered.
Business Law, Risk Management, and Contracts Jewell Cook - Laurel Campus North - $100 (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Wastewater Maintenance Systems These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for Wastewater system installers. Topics for this course will be delivered by a partnership with Kentucky Onsite Wastewater Association.
Drinking Water Treatment Systems These courses meet the Kentucky license requirement for continuing education for Drinking Water Treatment Operators. Topics for this course are approved by the Department of Environmental Protection and give 12 hours of CE credit.
Insurance — Life, Health, Property and Casualty The school of insurance provides mandated continuing education for Life & Health licensed agents and Property & Casualty licensed agents. Participants are provided a book and exam for each course to work at their own pace. All continuing education for insurance agents is now offered by correspondence courses. After successfully completing the exam, Workforce Solutions will post CEU credit to the KY Department of Insurance website. Plumbing These courses will meet the Kentucky License requirement for continuing education for journeyman and master plumbers. SCC Kentucky Plumbing Provider # is PLBCEP-0004.
