Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL; Master’s Degree and A.B.D. from University of Wisconsin, Madison WI; Certification Programs in K-12 Supervision, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent from University of Cincinnati OH; Institutes in Authentic Assessment and Reading and Writing and Civic Education from Harvard University, Boston MA.

Taught high school Reading, English and U.S. History in Chicago IL; junior high school Reading and English in Sun Prairie WI and Sitka AK.

Supervised 7-12 Reading, then 7-12 English for the Cincinnati Public Schools; also served as Manager of Curriculum and Assessment and later as High School Principal.

Research: Writing Portfolio Assessment and Cincinnati Public Schools K-12 Promotion Standards in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. 
Interests – professional: Authentic assessment and curriculum design; a member of the National Council of Teachers of English delegation to China and Russia in the late 1990s.
Interests – personal: Board member and volunteer in the Rescue/Adoption program for the Pulaski County Humane Society.
Faculty advisor to SCC club, Animal Rescue Friends.
