Commencement practice will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Exhibition Hall of the Center for Rural Development. You should arrive at 10:30 a.m. and report to the check-in table at the entrance of the Exhibition Hall to receive your seating assignment. You need to be present for practice, which should last approximately 1 ½ hours.
Commencement is that evening at 7:30 p.m. You should arrive by 6:45 p.m. in preparation for the ceremony. The Center for Rural Development is located across from the Somerset Campus at traffic light #15 off of South Highway 27 in Somerset, Kentucky.
Due to limited seating, each graduate participating in Commencement will be allotted 5 guest tickets. Guests with tickets will be seated on a first come first serve basis; however, tickets will not guarantee that you will be seated together. Guests with tickets will be seated in the Exhibition Hall to view the live Commencement Ceremony. Guests without tickets will be directed to The Center Theater to view the ceremony from a large screen. Graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony can pick up their tickets at any of our six campuses/centers April 18, 2016 – May 3, 2016. Tickets at the Laurel and Somerset Campuses can be picked up in the Students Records Office. Tickets at the Center locations can be picked up in the main office. Photo ID will be required to pick up your tickets. You cannot pick up tickets for another graduate. Tickets not picked up by the close of business May 3, 2016 will be distributed on a first come first serve basis beginning at 6:00 pm the evening of Commencement.
