Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS) Executive Director Michael E. Poynter has been appointed as a board member at large for the Kentucky InfraGard Chapter.
InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. It is an association of chapter members who represent businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies and other public service agencies dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. Poynter will represent the Emergency Services Sector.
The InfraGard Kentucky Members Alliance fosters a community focus on information sharing, education and protection of our critical infrastructures in Kentucky.
“Emergency services and medical technology are ever-changing, and in the event of a threat or attack upon our citizens EMS professionals play a key role in keeping our people and processes safe and secure,” said Poynter. “I am honored to represent Kentucky and serve as a point of contact to share information with local, state and national InfraGard members.”
